Bajaj Finance has reported the highest ever consolidated profit in the March 2022 quarter. Bajaj Finance reported a profit of Rs 2,420 crore in the January-March 2022 quarter, an increase of 80 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The company had made a profit of Rs 1,346 crore during the same period a year ago. The company’s net interest income grew by 30 per cent to Rs 6,068 crore in the March 2022 quarter as against Rs 4,659 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s board recommended a dividend of Rs 20 on every share
Shares of Bajaj Finance closed at Rs 7,258.60, up 3.61 per cent on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday. The company’s board has recommended a dividend of Rs 20 per share for the financial year 2021-22. The company’s Asset Under Management (AUM) grew 29 per cent to Rs 1.97 lakh crore during the quarter, as against Rs 1.52 lakh crore in the year-ago period.

Consolidated profit of Rs 7,028 crore in the last financial year
New loans booked during the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal grew 15 per cent to 6.28 million as against 5.47 million during the same period of the previous fiscal. Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and Net NPAs stood at 1.60 per cent and 0.68 per cent, respectively, during the March 2022 quarter. It was at 1.79 per cent and 0.75 per cent during the same period of the previous financial year. The company has made a consolidated profit of Rs 7,028 crore after tax payment during the last financial year.
