Indian Railways had launched UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app for the convenience of passengers traveling in general class. With the help of this app, you can also book general class tickets and avoid waiting for hours in long queues at the counter. Here we will know how to book general class tickets on UTS Mobile App.
How to book tickets on UTS app
Download the UTS app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Create and register account through mobile number. Choose one of the booking modes like Journey Ticket, Quick Booking, Platform Ticket, Season Ticket or QR Booking. Select the Book and Travel (Paperless) option. With this you will not need to take print of the ticket and you can show the ticket to TTE on your mobile phone itself. Enter the name of departure and arrival station. Click on Get Fare and fill the requested information. For payment, choose any option among UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, RWallet or Net Banking. Click on Book Ticket. Select the payment option and complete the payment. As soon as you make the payment, your general class ticket will be successfully booked.
Keep in mind that with the Book and Travel (Paperless) option, you will not be able to book tickets while staying near the railway station premises or rail line. Therefore book tickets before reaching the station.
