The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a circular, “The export policy of unrefined human hair has been banned and banned. However, if the export price is $ 65 per kg or more, it can be exported. ”

Whereas non-ramy hair is collected from villages and cities. During April-November in the current financial year, human hair exports stood at US $ 12.39 million, while in 2023-24 the figure was $ 12.4 million. It is mainly exported to Myanmar.
