Has the recession in the real estate sector once again be heard. This is because the sales of homes are decreasing quarterly quarter. That is, the sale of houses has been continuously falling from the last several quarters. According to the report of Jal Estate Advisory Company Propopigger, the sales of houses in eight major cities of the country declined by 19 percent to 98,095 units on an annual basis in the January-March quarter. It was the main reason for the skyrocketing prices of homes and low offers of new projects.
Delhi-NCR reduced a major decline of 16%
Houses in Ahmedabad declined by 17 percent to 10,730 units in January-March, 16 percent declines in Delhi-National Capital Region, declined 26 percent to 10,647 units in Hyderabad, one percent declines in Kolkata to 3,803 units, Mumbai metropolitan area (MMR) declined to 30,705 units and 25 percent to 17,228 units in Pune. The Delhi-NCR includes Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad and Mumbai Metropolitan regions in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane. New projects offered in the period under review declined 10 percent to 93,144 units from 1,03,020 units.
Reduction in launch of new project
The new offering declined by 10 percent in the first (January-March) quarter of the calendar year 2025. According to the reports of the Propopyer, sales in January-March in Bengaluru increased by 13 percent to 11,731 units, eight percent in Chennai to 4,774 units. Only Bangalore and Chennai are the only two cities where sales increased. These figures are related to the sale of new houses only. This does not include the re -sale figures of old houses.
