Revenue of Reliance Power decreased by 1 percent in the fourth quarter of FY 2025

Mumbai, May 10 (IANS). Anil Ambani -led Reliance Power Limited has recorded both revenue and total income for the fourth quarter ending March 31 of FY 2025.

According to the regulatory filing, the operation of Reliance Power declined by 1 percent to Rs 1,978 crore, which was Rs 1,997 crore in the same quarter of FY 2024.

The total income also declined by 5.83 percent to Rs 2,066 crore, which was Rs 2,193.85 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Despite the fall in revenue, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 125.6 crore for the March quarter, which is improved with a net deficit of Rs 397.6 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

At the operational level, the company recorded a sharp jump in the performance. The total expenditure in the quarter under review declined to Rs 1,998.49 crore, which was Rs 2,615.15 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.

EBITDA increased by Rs 1,100 percent to Rs 589.8 crore from Rs 48.8 crore a year ago.

The EBITDA margin also improved to 29.8 percent compared to 2.4 percent of the same period last year.

Reliance Power has also made strong progress in strengthening its financial situation.

The company successfully fulfilled the total loan obligations of Rs 5,338 crore during the previous year and reduced its debt-to-equity ratio from 1.61: 1 to 0.88: 1 in FY 2024.

The company said in the exchange filing that till March 31, its net worth was Rs 16,337 crore.

The company announced its results after the market opened on Friday.

On May 9, Reliance Power’s shares on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose by Rs 1.39 percent or 0.53 to Rs 38.79.
