Sber 500 invited applications for new startup accelerator program

Moscow, March 21 (IANS). International Startup Seed Accelerator Sobar 500 on Thursday invited applications for new technology startups from countries around the world.

To participate in Sber 500, startups will have to show an entire team, finished product and first sale.

In this program, AI agents, AI Assistants and Science Based Solutions (Dipatake) as well as teams from BRICS countries will be given priority.

Alexander Vadyakhin, the first vice president of the Executive Board of Sber Bank, said, “125 startups of the previous Sber 500 sessions have raised more than 3.7 billion rubles and signed about 9,500 commercial contracts.”

He said, “SAR 500 Seed Accelerator provides technology companies access to international experts, partners and investors.”

Vadyakhin reported that last year “every fourth application came from foreign startups from 28 countries.”

He said, “This year, we will focus on AI agents and Dippec solutions, and want to include more participants from abroad, especially from BRICS countries.”

The company said that the accelerator program will run for about three months.

Participants will get a chance to work with groups and personal experts and advisors from 17 countries individually.

About 150 startups are expected to participate in the online bootcamp (the first stage of the accelerator).

Experts will help them customize their strategy, prepare for scaling, strengthen their market positions and find partners for piloting.

25 finalists will continue their training in the next phase. They will get access to 40 major Russian companies, various departments of Sber, hundreds of business angels and venture funds.

Startups will present their solutions to officers and potential investors of big companies at the final demo day to be held in Moscow.

The company said that the last date for application is 12 May 2025.
