Domestic Stock Market Close: The domestic stock market managed to close with slight strength for the second consecutive day today.
However, throughout the day today, buyers and sellers tried to dominate each other, due to which the stock market kept moving up and down continuously.
There was continuous buying in the shares of automobile sector
After the whole day’s trading, Sensex closed with a gain of 0.11 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.14 percent. Today, for the first time, Sensex managed to close above the level of 83 thousand points and Nifty above 25,400 points.
In today’s trading, there was continuous buying in the shares of realty, IT and automobile sectors. Similarly, telecom, oil and gas and energy indices also managed to close with gains.
On the other hand, public sector enterprise, metal and pharmaceutical sector stocks remained under pressure. There was continuous selling in the broader market today, due to which the BSE midcap index closed with a weakness of 0.08 percent. Similarly, the smallcap index ended today’s trading with a decline of 0.13 percent.
Despite the rise in the stock market today, the wealth of stock market investors decreased by more than Rs 25 thousand crore due to selling in midcap and smallcap stocks.
The market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies declined to Rs 470.21 lakh crore (provisional) after today’s trading.
Whereas on the previous trading day i.e. Monday, their market capitalization was Rs 470.47 lakh crore. In this way, investors have suffered a loss of about Rs 26 thousand crore from today’s trading.
Today, 4,058 shares were actively traded on BSE. Out of these, 1,713 shares closed with a gain, while 2,236 shares declined, while 109 shares closed without any fluctuation. Today, 2,461 shares were actively traded on NSE.
Out of these, 946 stocks closed in the green zone after making profit and 1,515 stocks closed in the red zone after suffering loss. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in Sensex, 16 stocks closed with a gain and 14 stocks closed with a loss. Whereas, out of the 50 stocks included in Nifty, 24 stocks closed in the green zone and 26 stocks closed in the red zone.
NSE’s Nifty rose by 33.15 points today
The BSE Sensex opened today with a gain of 95.85 points at 83,084.63 points. Due to selling pressure at the start of trading, the index fell by 122.10 points to a level of 82,866.68 points.
However, after the first hour of trading, buyers started purchasing, due to which the condition of this index started improving.
With the support of buying, the index managed to reach 83,152.41 points with a gain of 163.63 points. After the whole day’s trading, the Sensex closed at 83,079.66 points with a gain of 90.88 points.
Like the Sensex, the NSE Nifty also started trading today with a gain of 33.15 points at 25,416.90 points. After the market opened, due to selling pressure in the early trade, the index slipped down by 31.50 points to 25,352.25 points.

However, within a short time, buyers started buying and brought this index back to the green mark. With the support of continuous buying, this index was able to reach the level of 25,441.65 points with a gain of 57.90 points. After the day’s buying and selling, Nifty closed at the level of 25,418.55 points with a gain of 34.80 points.
After the buying and selling throughout the day’s trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, Hero Motocorp gained 3.14 percent, Bajaj Auto 2.24 percent, Bharti Airtel 1.61 percent, NTPC 1.26 percent and Mahindra & Mahindra 1.10 percent and were included in the list of today’s top 5 gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Motors 1.36 per cent, Eicher Motors 1 per cent, Adani Ports 0.98 per cent, Coal India 0.96 per cent and Tata Steel 0.90 per cent were among the top 5 losers today.
