The market closed in the green for the third consecutive day
Share Market Closing 16th January, 2025: The share market closed once again today with a good recovery. Thursday was the third consecutive day when the stock market closed in the green. On the fourth day of the week, BSE Sensex closed at 77,042.82 points with a gain of 318.74 points. On the other hand, NSE’s Nifty 50 index today closed at 23,311.80 points with a rise of 98.60 points. Let us tell you that on Wednesday the Indian markets closed with a slight gain. Yesterday, Sensex closed 224.45 points higher at 76,724.08 points and Nifty closed 37.15 points higher at 23,213.20 points.
Adani Ports shares rose by 2 percent
Today, shares of 20 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains, while shares of 10 companies closed in the red with a decline. Similarly, shares of 33 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green mark with gains and shares of 17 companies closed in the red mark with losses. Among Sensex companies, shares of Adani Ports closed the highest today with a gain of 2.03 percent. Whereas, shares of HCL Tech closed with maximum fall of 1.87 percent.

Among Sensex companies, shares of State Bank of India 1.64%, Bajaj Finserv 1.47%, Bharti Airtel 1.46%, Tata Motors 1.43%, IndusInd Bank 1.41%, Maruti Suzuki 1.36%, NTPC 1.35%, Reliance Industries 1.31%, Axis Bank 1.25%. , ICICI Bank 1.17%, UltraTech Cement 1.12%, Bajaj Finance 1.02%, Tata Steel 0.99%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.89%, Tech Mahindra 0.81%, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.78%, HDFC Bank 0.73%, Larsen & Toubro 0.50% and Sun Pharma. share Closed with a rise of 0.38 percent.

Today, shares of Nestle India closed down by 1.38 percent, Infosys by 1.21 percent, Hindustan Unilever by 1.15 percent, ITC by 1.01 percent, TCS by 0.95 percent, Zomato by 0.82 percent, Asian Paints by 0.55 percent, Titan by 0.34 percent and Power Grid by 0.07 percent.
