Nifty 50 index closed today with a rise of 141.55 points (0.61%)
Share Market Closing 20th January, 2025: Indian stock markets closed in the green today with good gains. On Monday, the first day of the week, BSE Sensex closed at 77,073.44 points with a gain of 454.11 points. NSE’s Nifty 50 index also closed today at 23,344.75 points with a rise of 141.55 points (0.61%). Let us tell you that on Friday last week the market had closed with a big fall. On Friday, the Sensex closed at 76,619.33 points, down 423.49 points, and the Nifty 50 closed at 23,203.20 points, down 108.61 points.
Stormy rise in shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank
On Monday, shares of 17 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green with gains, while shares of the remaining 13 companies closed in the red with a fall. Shares of 29 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green mark with gains and shares of the remaining 21 companies closed in the red mark with losses. Today, among the Sensex companies, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank closed with the maximum gain of 9.15 percent, while shares of Zomato closed with the maximum fall of 3.14 percent.

Apart from these, Bajaj Finance shares 3.58 shares, Bajaj Finserv 3.18 shares, NTPC 2.96 shares, State Bank of India 1.96 shares, PowerGrid 1.29 shares, Tata Steel 1.04 shares, Tech Mahindra 1.02 shares, Asian Paints 0.90 shares, HDFC Bank 0.89 shares, Bharti Airtel. 0.86 share, Titan 0.69 Shares, ICICI Bank 0.57 shares, Larsen & Toubro 0.50 shares, UltraTech Cement 0.36 shares, HCL Tech 0.35 shares and Reliance Industries closed 0.28 percent higher.

Adani Ports shares today 1.23 percent, TCS 1.18 shares, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.99 shares, Maruti Suzuki 0.80 shares, Tata Motors 0.67 shares, ITC 0.58 shares, Sun Pharma 0.57 shares, Hindustan Unilever 0.38 shares, Axis Bank 0.30 shares, Nestle India 0.30 shares. , Infosys 0.10 shares and IndusInd Bank shares closed down by 0.09 per cent.
