As Asian markets traded mostly with a decline, while the US stock market closed mixed after the release of weekly jobless claims data. Earlier on Thursday, the markets closed with a weak trend in a volatile trading session led by profit booking by Reliance Industries. The Sensex closed 151.48 points or 0.18 percent lower at 82,201.16, while the Nifty 50 closed 53.60 points or 0.21 percent lower at 25,145.10.

Asian markets: Most markets fell on Friday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 was marginally down, while the Topix fell 0.42 percent. South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.8 percent and the Kosdaq fell 1.41 percent. Hong Kong Hang Seng index futures indicated a lower opening.
GIFT Nifty: GIFT Nifty was trading around 25,155 level, down by around 80 points from the previous close of Nifty futures. This was indicating a negative opening for the Indian stock market.
Wall Street: US stock markets closed mixed on Thursday ahead of key jobs data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 219.22 points, or 0.54 percent, to 40,755.75, while the S&P 500 added 16.66 points, or 0.30 percent, to 5,503.41. The Nasdaq Composite closed up 43.37 points at 17,127.66.
