Luxury car manufacturing company Skoda is going to create a stir in the Indian market. The auto company has entered the compact SUV segment for the first time. The company has launched its much awaited SUV Kylac in India. Considering the dominance of SUVs less than 4 meters in length in India, an entry has been made in this segment. With the entry of Kylac, Maruti’s Brezza, Tata’s Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO will now face direct competition. 50 percent parts in Kylac are made in India. The price of Skoda Kylak will start from Rs 789,000. Its booking will start from 2nd December. Its delivery will start from 27th January.

The Kylac will get 446 liters of boot-space. The Kylac will get six airbags. The Kylac will get a 1.0 TSI engine which will produce 85kW and 178Nm of torque. The price of Kylac will start from Rs 7,89,000.

Skoda Auto India has unveiled its much-awaited SUV, the Kylak, showcasing the vehicle for the first time in India and the world. The Kyllac marks the beginning of a new era for Skoda Auto in India as it enters new markets and attracts new customers. The company confirmed its ambitions to expand further in India with the announcement of this SUV in February this year. In October this year, Skoda Auto India tested a pre-production model of the Kyllac. Bookings for Kylac will open from December 2, 2024.
Name given to Mount Kailash
The name Skoda Kailash is derived from the Sanskrit word for crystal and is named after Mount Kailash. Kylak has many segment-first features. Like six way electric seats with ventilation for the driver and front passenger. The boot space of the Kylak is the best in its segment at 446 litres. The car also features Auto Climatronic, with ventilation for the electrically adjustable front seats. Select variants will also be available with an electric sunroof.
Power and Safety
The company claims that the Kylaq can accelerate to 100kph in 10.5 seconds with manual transmission. The top speed of the SUV is 188kph. Its 1.0 TSI engine produces 85kW of power and 178Nm of torque. It will come with a six-speed manual or six-speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters in select variants. This car is built on the same MQB-A0-IN platform as the Kushaq and Slavia.
