New Delhi, 6 April (IANS). Aman Gupta, co -founder and CMO of Bot Lifestyle, a veteran company that makes technology gadgets, said on Sunday that comparing India’s startups to China, America or any other country – is not a weakness, but a smart strategy.
Gupta’s statement came at a time when Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal criticized the startups for not working on innovation, which has led to a new debate.
Supporting the Union Minister’s statement, Gupta wrote on the social media handle X, “It does not happen everyday that the government would ask the founders to dream big. But this is exactly what happened in ‘Startup Mahakumbh’. I was there and heard the full speech. Union Minister Piyush Goyal is not against founders. He believes in us.”
He further wrote in the post, “He (Piyush Goyal) was easy to say: India has come forward to lead the world … We need to make a big goal. Is a strategy. “
According to Gupta, “We are already the third largest startup ecosystem and fastest growing major economy in the world, but if we want to become number 1 – we will also have to go deep into AI, Deep Tech, Climate, Mobility and Infra. Founder-policy maker also requires cooperation and long-term national vision. “
At the end of the post, Gupta said that what we have created so far is amazing, but what we can make… will be much better. So, go to work.
