Despite the rise in the Chicago Exchange, due to weak demand at the local level, the prices of mustard oil, oilseeds and soybean oilseeds closed with a decline in the major markets of the country on Friday. Market sources said that on the other hand, the prices of groundnut oil-oilseeds, soybean oil, crude palm oil (CPO) and palmolein oil and cottonseed oil closed at the previous level. Malaysia Exchange closed with a slight fall. The evening market here is closed. The Chicago Exchange is booming. Sources said that due to weak demand, there was a decline in the prices of mustard oil and oilseeds. But traders are hopeful that due to increase in cost of palmolein and CPO, its import will reduce in the future, which is difficult to compensate with indigenous oil and oilseeds and in such a situation the demand for mustard may increase further. Soybean oilseed prices also declined due to weak local and export demand for de-oiled cake (DOC). He said that amid the rise in the Chicago Exchange, the prices of soybean oil remained at the previous level.

Soybean grain – Rs 4,325-4,375 per quintal. Soybean loose – Rs 4,025-4,060 per quintal. Maize cake (Sariska) – Rs 4,100 per quintal.
