Hyderabad, 19 June (IANS). SpiceJet’s flight going from Hyderabad to Tirupati returned from Hyderabad Airport on Thursday 10 minutes after taking a technical fault.
The SG 2696 flight with 80 passengers flew from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad to Tirupati at 6.10 am.
However, a few minutes later the pilot came to know about the technical fault. Then the air traffic control was immediately contacted and permission was sought by the pilot to return to the airport, then the aircraft was safely brought back to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
The airline said that after flying in the SpiceJet Q400 aircraft serving on the Hyderabad-Tirupati route, the AFT baggage door light continued to light up. However, the pressure in the cabin was normal during the entire journey. As a precaution, the pilots decided to return to Hyderabad. The aircraft landed safely and passengers were off the aircraft in a normal way.
After the Air India aircraft accident in Ahmedabad, in which 274 people lost their lives, airlines are constantly cautious and are cautious in the aircraft operations.
SpiceJet clarified that the aircraft did not make an emergency landing. An alternative aircraft has been arranged to conduct a further journey of Tirupati.
On 15 June, the flight of Lufthansa, coming from Frankfurt to Hyderabad, returned to the German airport after threatening the bomb at Hyderabad Airport.
Officials of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport received an email threatening the bomb at 6.01 pm on June 15.
According to officials, a committee was formed to assess the threat of the bomb and all processes were followed according to the SOP. In the interest of security, the airline was advised to return to the original or nearest airport.
Later, the Air Traffic Control (ATC) received a message that the aircraft was returning to Frankfurt at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.
The aircraft flew from Frankfurt Airport at around 2.15 pm. It did not enter the Indian ai area before returning. Two hours after her visit, Flight LH 752 returned and landed safely at Frankfurt Airport.
On June 12, an Air India aircraft crashed a few minutes after flying from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad to London Gatwick Airport, killing 241 out of 242 people. In this tragedy, 33 people on the ground also lost their lives.
