Business News Desk – The level of pollution in Delhi-NCR is very high. With the aim of preventing pollution, the central government has made a rule for every person who has a vehicle, he will have to get a pollution certificate by getting it checked regularly. This certificate ranges from 6 months to 12 months. In many places it is also for 3 months. In such a situation, if you want to start a business with less investment, then you can start a pollution testing center business. To open a pollution testing center, you have to spend only Rs 2 lakh and after that you can earn up to Rs 50 thousand every month. Let’s know how to open a pollution testing center and earn a good income.

What is the scope of this business?
With each passing day, the number of vehicles running on the road is increasing. Be it a car or a scooter, it is necessary for everyone to get a pollution certificate. They have to get this certificate every few months to ensure that the pollution emitted from the vehicle does not exceed a certain limit. If we look at the new Motor Vehicle Act, there is a provision of heavy penalty for not having a pollution certificate. This fine can be up to Rs 10,000. Therefore, if you want to avoid the fine, then every vehicle owner has to get this certificate. This is the reason why nowadays you find pollution checking centers around all highways and many petrol pumps.

How much will it cost?
The cost of opening a pollution testing centre is not much, it just takes time to get permission from the RTO. Under this, first of all you should have land or if you do not have land then you will have to rent a place somewhere. You will have to pay a fee of Rs 5000 on applying for a pollution testing centre. You will also have to spend Rs 5000 every year to renew the pollution testing centre. Apart from this, you will have to make a structure with wood and tin, on which you may have to spend 30-40 thousand rupees. You may have to pay up to 1-1.5 lakh rupees for pollution testing machine, computer, web cam etc. In this way you will have to invest about 2 lakh rupees.

Earn up to 50 thousand rupees every month
Now if we talk about earning, a PUC certificate costs between 50-80 rupees. If you take an average of just 60 rupees, then you will get 20-30 vehicles in a day. In this way, you can earn 1200 to 1800 rupees every day. In this way, your earnings can be from 36000 to 54000 rupees in a month. In this, your monthly expenditure will be only on electricity which will be nominal. Let us assume that your electricity bill comes to 4000 rupees every month. That is, even in such a situation, you can earn up to 50 thousand rupees a month by investing only 2 lakh rupees.

How to open a pollution checking centre?
If you want to open a pollution testing center, you have to go to https://puc.parivahan.gov.in/. There you have to click on the tab of PUC registration. After this an application form will open, in which you have to enter your name, address, mobile number, email ID etc. Apart from this, you also have to choose in which state and under which office you want to open this center. You also have to decide a name for your pollution testing center and enter it there. You also have to choose a password for yourself. Here you have to pay an application fee of Rs 5000 and proceed. After this you will get a call from the officials and they will talk to you about the further process. Keep in mind, during this process enter your mobile number and email ID, address everything correctly, because you will be contacted through these.

Keep some things in mind
While opening a pollution testing centre, you have to keep some things in mind. Keep in mind that the colour of its cabin should be yellow. The colour of all PUC centres is not yellow just like that, the government has decided this colour. It is kept yellow so that people can see it even from a distance. The length of the cabin should be at least 2.5 metres, width 2 metres and height 2 metres. Apart from this, the license number should also be written on the pollution testing centre. If you want, you can also take a Mudra loan for this business. That is, with the help of government loan, you can start this business, the demand for which is always going to remain.
