Now farmers of many states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, Uttarakhand are cultivating dragon fruit.
Government provides subsidy for dragon farming
Haryana has become the first state to launch such a scheme for dragon fruit cultivation. Out of this, Rs 70,000 per acre is being given for the arrangement of trellising system or Jaffri-Jaali system and Rs 50,000 for planting dragon fruit plants. Farmers can avail this scheme by visiting the website of the Horticulture Department of the Haryana State Government. In this, Rs 30,000 will be given in the first year, Rs 10,000 in the second year and Rs 10,000 in the third year. If you are going to cultivate dragon in 10 acres, then you will get financial assistance of Rs 12 lakh from the state government. For this, farmers will have to register on the Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal.

You can earn a good income by cultivating dragon fruit. You can earn up to 8-10 lakh rupees annually from one acre of land. You can easily earn up to 20 lakh rupees from 2 acres of land. For this, you may have to spend up to 4-5 lakh rupees in the beginning. You can cultivate it for 20 years.
