State human rights panel chief visits district jail

Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) Chairman Justice Lalit Batra (Retd) on Wednesday said that human rights violations will not be allowed in Haryana at any cost. The HHRC chairperson, along with commission members Kuldeep Jain and Deep Bhatia, held a meeting with district officials at Pipli Parkit in Kurukshetra and said, “Rights have been laid down for every individual in the society and no one should be deprived of his or her rights.” Needed.” Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh, Superintendent of Police Varun Singla and other officers were present during the meeting. Giving detailed information about human rights to the officials, Chairman Lalit Batra said that beggars, old age homes, night shelters, patients in hospitals and other sections of the society should be made aware of their rights and everyone should get their rights. The authorities should ensure that no person is harassed. He also visited Kurukshetra District Jail and inquired about the facilities being provided to the prisoners. Lalit Batra visited the hospital, library, canteen, kitchen and other rooms of the jail and interacted with the prisoners and obtained feedback.
