Mumbai, 25 April (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal believes that India is ready to become a ‘developed nation’ by 2047 and the steel industry will play an important role in it. India’s steel industry is ready to meet the needs of the world not only in the country, but also the needs of the world.
He said in a statement on Friday that India is constantly focusing on self -sufficiency. But, self-sufficiency does not mean closing the doors to the world, but we are really, opening doors to other countries of the world, because every country has its competitive benefits for different products.
In fact, Union Minister Piyush Goyal was present in the ‘India Steel 2025’ program being held in Mumbai from 24 to 26 April.
Talking to reporters, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “In the steel industry, India is a very efficient, cost-effective and high quality productive country. Given this, we believe that it is an area where we will not only meet the growing needs of India as well as become ‘developed nations’ till 2047, but are also ready to meet the world’s needs in this competitive environment.”
He said that India is ready to contribute significantly to global demand and India’s steel industry is ready to move forward by crossing all obstacles.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal insisted, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is always cautious and active to support the Indian industry against unfair trade practices. We also balance the demands and needs of customers and hence we are able to protect the steel industry from steel dumping at low prices, whose information was found from the trading treatment government (DGTR).”
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that exporters and MSME sector will continue to get steel at international prices.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi addressed the inaugural session of ‘India Steel 2025’ through a video message on Thursday, in which he emphasized India’s strategic vision to increase domestic steel production, reduce carbon emissions and promote ‘Make in India’.
