Share Market Closing 6th Sep, 2024: On the last day of the week, the stock market witnessed a huge decline. The BSE Sensex closed down 1017.23 points at 81,183.93 points while the Nifty 50 also closed down 292.95 points at 24,852.15 points. Today was the third consecutive day when the market has registered a decline. On Thursday, the Sensex closed down 151 and the Nifty 53 points. While on Wednesday, the Sensex fell 202 points and the Nifty fell 81 points. The domestic stock market remained completely flat on Tuesday.

Shares of 42 out of 50 Nifty companies fell

On Friday, 26 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the red with losses while only 4 companies closed in the green. Similarly, out of the 50 companies in Nifty 50, 42 companies closed in the red and only 8 companies closed in the green with gains.

State Bank shares fell the most

Today, among the Sensex companies, the shares of State Bank of India closed with the biggest decline of 4.40 percent. Apart from this, ICICI Bank shares closed with a huge decline of 2.09 percent, NTPC shares closed with a decline of 2.08 percent, HCL Tech shares closed with a decline of 1.95 percent, Reliance Industries shares closed with a decline of 1.92 percent, Tata Motors shares closed with a decline of 1.87 percent, ITC shares closed with a decline of 1.86 percent, Axis Bank shares closed with a decline of 1.83 percent, Adani Ports shares closed with a decline of 1.60 percent, Infosys shares closed with a decline of 1.59 percent, Larsen & Toubro shares closed with a decline of 1.36 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra shares closed with a decline of 1.21 percent. Along with these, shares of Maruti Suzuki, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finserv, TCS, Tata Steel, PowerGrid, Tech Mahindra, Nestle India and Sun Pharma also registered a decline today.

Shares of only 4 Sensex companies closed in the green mark

Among the Sensex companies, Asian Paints’ shares closed with the highest gain of 1.13 percent even amidst this huge fall. Bajaj Finance’s shares closed with a gain of 1.03 percent, JSW’s shares closed with a gain of 0.79 percent and Hindustan Unilever’s shares closed with a gain of 0.08 percent.
