Bank Nifty fell 74 points to open at 55,545. The rupee opened at 87.97 as compared to 87.68. The sectoral index is also seeing a decline. Selling was also seen in auto, IT and pharma sectors. On the other hand, the Nifty PSU Bank was seen trading with a slight edge.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose more tariffs on India on buying cheaper oil from Russia. Trump said that if India continues trade with Russia, the US will teach him a lesson through trade charges. The Government of India has reacted strongly to this. The Ministry of External Affairs made it clear that India takes decisions in its national interest and European countries, including the US, are doing more trade with Russia themselves.
The market move was also affected in the midst of this dispute. The gift Nifty fell 70 points to 24,725. However, there was tremendous speed in the American markets. Dow Jones rose by about 600 points, while Nasdaq rose by 400 points. The rapid reason was expected to reduce interest rates and good corporate results. Dow futures also rose by 100 points, while Japan’s Nikkei index rose to 150 points.

Gold rose 0.5% and silver 1% in the international market. Crude oil fell down to $ 69 per barrel for the fourth consecutive day. FII sold in cash market for the 11th consecutive day. Yesterday, after selling more than 2,500 crores, there was a net purchase of 700 crores on the basis of short covering. The purchase of domestic funds continued for the 21st consecutive day, with shares worth Rs 4,400 crore.
Quarterly results were mixed
Talking about the results, the performance of Aurobindo Pharma and Sona BLW disappointed. DLF performed mixed while the results of the bosch were good. The results of Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports will be released today. The results of 7 companies including Britannia, Lupine, Prestle Estates and NCC will be monitored in the F&O segment. Paytm may have a block deal of 3,800 crore today. Public shareholder Antphane will sell its entire 5.84% stake at a price of Rs 1,020. On the IPO front, Aditya Infotech will be list today, which received more than 100 times subscription. The issue price is ₹ 675. Laxmi India will also be listed today.
