Tata Motors’ shares have big news for investors. In the coming time, Tata Motors shares will be shared in two parts. Giving this information, Tata Motors Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that dividing the business of Tata Motors into two listed companies will bring strategic clarity, which will benefit the shareholders in a long period. Addressing the shareholders in the company’s 80th integrated annual report for the financial year 2024-25, he said that the division of Tata Motors in two listed companies- commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles (including EV and JLR) is proceeding as per the plan.

Hope to complete partition in the second half

Chandrasekaran said that this proposed division would lead to more strategic clarity, which would focus more towards performance and value creation. Customers will get better experience, career opportunities for employees will increase and shareholders will get long -term benefits. He said that at the beginning of FY 2025-26, the shareholders approved the company’s partition proposal, which is expected to be completed during the second half of 2025. In this, shareholders will get equal shares from both companies. Explaining in detail about the path ahead, Chandrashekaran said that we are stepping into our strategy, strengthening our implementation and confidence in our people in financial year 2025-26.

Many new models will launch

The Tata Motors aims to bring the electric vehicle (EV) into the mainstream in the domestic passenger vehicle market. Under its plan, the company is trying to strengthen the EV series as well as to increase the price for the existing model. In the current financial year, Harrier is preparing to launch EV and then Sierra EV. Also, the company is planning to make a variety of improvements in its current model. Tata Motors has sold around 65,000 electric vehicles in 2024-25.
