Bengaluru, 13 March (IANS). Globally, technology companies are struggling to maintain employees. The reason for this is to switch a job continuously by professionals for more salary and good career. This information was given in a report released on Thursday.
The new report by the Global Professional Association, ISACA collected reactions from 7,726 technical professionals around the world and found that one -third of the respondents have changed their jobs in the last two years.
The report stated that young employees are most likely to change their jobs and 42 percent professionals under the age of 35 are looking for new opportunities.
Despite these trends, only 27 percent of companies have regular contact with their employees to resolve their concerns.
The report stated that work-life balance plays an important role in job satisfaction.
According to the report, hybrid or remote work options, attractive jobs and salary helps to keep employees in jobs.
Many employees enter the technology industry because they like problems solutions, continuous learning and job security.
The report also found that in the last two years about 70 percent of professionals received salary hike or promotion, while only 36 percent had actively demanded this.
The report said that even after getting a job, it is not always easy to move forward in career. Employees explained clear career paths, limited opportunities and lack of mentors as major obstacles.
The survey also found that women are more keen to get guidance, while men are more inclined to give guidance.
Kannamal Gopalakrishnan of the ISACA Emerging Trends Working Group said, “India’s IT Industry has been a pioneer globally for decades, but the pace of technology change and the changing aspirations of employees are reinforcing the dynamics of the workforce worldwide.”
