The Chief Labor Commissioner has fixed the next date of hearing 22 April.

UFBU called for strike
According to the news, the demands of bank unions include five -day work week and adequate recruitment in all cadres. The All India Bank Employees Union (AIBEA) said that the IBA has proposed further discussion on recruitment, PLI and other major issues. Also, the Chief Labor Commissioner has assured direct monitoring of the five -day banking implementation. The UFBU had also demanded immediate withdrawal of recent instructions from the Department of Financial Services (DFS) on the encouragement (PLI) related to the performance review and performance, which endanger job security and creates partitions among employees. According to the Economic Times news, the Chief Labor Commissioner has fixed the next date of hearing on 22 April and asked the IBA to submit a progress report on UFBU demands.
The unions have also demanded the resolution of pending issues pending with the IBA and amending the Gratuity Act on the lines of the scheme for government employees and also demanded exemption from income tax to increase the limit to Rs 25 lakh.
