Ahmedabad, 24 June (IANS). Adaani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said on Tuesday that despite a continuous investigation, the group never retreated. Instead, we have proved that the true leadership is not in the sun, but in the fire of crisis.
Addressing the annual general meeting (AGM) of Adani Enterprises Limited (AGM), the billionaire industrialist said, “We live in a world where negativity often resonates more than the truth. We cooperate in legal processes. I also want to reiterate that our rule is of global standards and no compromise can be compromised on our compliance.”
In terms of consolidated data at the group level, revenue increased by 7 percent, EBITDA by 8.2 percent and the Net Date-to-EBITDA ratio was healthy at 2.6 times. The total revenue was Rs 2,71,664 crore and adjusted EBITDA was Rs 89,806 crore.
Gautam Adani said, “Capital investment in all our businesses is ready to break all records. We expect an annual cost of $ 15-20 billion for the next five years. These are not only investment in our group, but in the possibilities of making our contribution to the creation of India’s infrastructure.”
Gautam Adani said, “Exactly three years ago, on my 60th birthday, my family had resolved to give 60,000 crore rupees to redefine healthcare, education and skill development in India. Adani healthcare temples are our first major move. World class, affordable 1,000-bed campers, including medical colleges, research centers and wellness are all in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The clinic is our partner in guiding us to create ‘Future Ready, AI-Purd, Patient-First Health Service Ecosystem. “
The group has committed a commitment of Rs 2,000 crore to create a world -class skill university and finishing school in Mundra, which has been designed to empower youth from all over India.
Gautam Adani said, “Through partnership with leaders like the School of Excellence, Global Certification and ITES Singapore and IGCC, our goal is to create industry-read workforce.”
He stressed, “I want to talk about our participation in the Mahakumbh Mela. Where more than 650 million people came together, not as a stranger, but as a purpose and a heartbeat. With ISKCON, Adani Group started Mahaprasad service, in which millions of devotees were given free Mahaprasad. Over 5,000 employees participated.”
The chairman of the Adani Group said, “At Triveni Sangam, I received the honor of performing the holy Ganga Aarti with my family and it was one of the most emotional days of life for Adani Group to be a part of this program.”
He said that the future of a country is not written in policy documents. It is written in risks that their entrepreneurs dare to lift.
He said, “We are not laying concrete. We are making strong beliefs, which are in the highway, the port carrying hopes and the grid that brightened the future.”
He further said that we should remember history. Not for markets in which we entered, but for the storms that we faced and emerged strong, because it is easy to lead in the sun, but the true leadership is coined by facing the crisis.
