The Consumer Court, taking into account the evidence presented, said that Emami was selling a product named Fair and Handsome Cream, the packaging and labeling of which contained very few and limited instructions as to whether its continuous use for three weeks would cause harm to men. The consumer court said in its decision that the company knew that the instructions written in the packaging and labeling of the product were incomplete and if the other requirements were not followed, it would not give the results as claimed.
