18 percent of the remaining employees want to make new appointments. At the same time, 20 percent are recruiting on old posts.
The report said that the retrenchment is expected to decrease. The ratio of such expectations has come down from 3 percent to 2 percent this year in 2024.
There has been an increase in all industry in the number of IT posts. 37 percent of employers are giving priority to IT posts. It was 24 percent in 2024.
Professionals with 3-8 years experience are the best position for the 2025 job market. Employers are actively targeting mid-career professionals, who will be responsible for the recruitment activity of 58 percent this year as compared to 53 percent of the previous year.
Dr. Pawan Goel, Chief Business Officer of Job Dutcom, said, “It is encouraging to see a strong recruitment plan of companies supported by adequate increment schemes for the first half of the year 2025. Focusing focusing on both the creation and replacement recruitment of new jobs in all sectors indicates the positive of the first half of the year.”
New graduates also have a reason for being optimistic. 34 percent of employers acknowledge that appointments in the campus will continue as per the plan (last year the figure was 30 percent), which will give new graduates more stable in the workforce.
