New Delhi, 3 June (IANS). Gold and silver prices saw a rise on Tuesday and the price of 24 carat gold has increased to about Rs 97,000 per 10 grams and silver has crossed one lakh rupees per kg.
According to the India Bullion Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 187 to Rs 96,867 per 10 grams, which was Rs 96,680 per 10 grams on Monday.
The price of 10 grams of gold of 22 carats has increased to Rs 88,730, which was earlier Rs 88,559 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of 10 grams of gold of 18 carats has increased to Rs 72,650, which was earlier Rs 72,510 per 10 grams.
There has been a huge increase in the price of silver with gold. In the last 24 hours, the price of silver has increased by Rs 2,669 to Rs 1,00,460 per kg, which was earlier Rs 97,761 per kg.
Jatin Trivedi of LKP Securities said that after a rally of Rs 2000, gold performance was nearly flat at Rs 97,700 per 10 grams on MCX. Gold is in the consolidation face before the important economic figures in the US.
He further said that gold can remain in the range of Rs 95,000 per 10 grams to Rs 99,500 per 10 grams in the coming time.
Gold and silver prices are seen falling in the international market. Gold fell 0.37 percent to $ 3,384 an ounce and silver was 0.67 percent to $ 34.46 an ounce.
Since January 1, the price of 10 grams 24 carat gold has increased from Rs 76,162 to Rs 20,705 or 27.18 percent to Rs 96,867. At the same time, silver price has also increased from Rs 86,017 per kg to Rs 14,443 or 16.17 percent to Rs 1,00,460 per kg.
In addition, the rupee fell by 16 paise today, due to which the domestic currency closed at 85.53 against the dollar.
