Tata Consumer Products, the Tata Group’s FMCG company, reported a more than three-fold increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 239.05 crore in the March 2022 quarter. Tata Consumer Products had posted a profit of Rs 74.35 crore in the same period last year. The company’s board on Wednesday recommended paying a final dividend of 605 per cent (Rs 6.05) per share for the financial year 2021-22.
The company’s revenue stood at Rs 3,175.41 crore
However, profit declined in the January-March 2022 quarter as compared to the December 2021 quarter. The company had a profit of Rs 290.07 crore in the December 2021 quarter. Consolidated revenue from operations grew 4.55 per cent to Rs 3,175.41 crore in the January-March 2022 quarter. In the fourth quarter of last year, the company’s consolidated revenue stood at Rs 3,037.22 crore. However, the company’s revenue in the December 2021 quarter stood at Rs 3,208.38 crore.

The company says that this jump in revenue on a yearly basis has come due to the growth in the branded business in India. Shares of Tata Consumer Products closed at Rs 803.90, down 2.49 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday. The company’s net profit stood at Rs 1,015.16 crore in the financial year 2022 as against Rs 930.46 crore in the previous financial year. The company’s revenue increased to Rs 12,425.37 crore in FY 2022 from Rs 11,602.03 crore in the previous financial year.
