New Delhi, 12 July (IANS). Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the purchase of crude oil from Russia in India has helped in bringing global energy prices to a stable level.
In an interview to a foreign news channel, Union Minister Puri said, “Russia is one of the largest crude oil producers with more than 90 million barrels per day. Imagine if this oil, which is about 10 percent of the global oil supply of about 9.7 million barrels, disappears from the market, what would have been forced to reduce its consumption and because the world would have been forced to reduce its consumer supply, so the price of consumers supply, so the price of consumers supply, so the price of 120-1 30 She would be. ”
The Union Minister said, “India has been a pure positive contributor to global energy value stability under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as we have successfully faced the challenges of energy availability, affordability and sustainability.”
He said that there was never a global ban on Russian oil.
Union Minister Puri said, “The intelligent decisionrs from all over the world were aware of the realities of Global Oil Supply Chen and they knew that India was helping global markets by purchasing concessional oils under a certain price range wherever possible, wherever possible.
He further said, “Some commentators, who do not understand the dynamics of energy markets, give unnecessary decisions on our policies.”
Union Minister Puri said that India is providing clean cooking gas to 33 crore houses in the country at the lowest prices in the world, while under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme, more than 10.3 crore beneficiary families are providing only $ 0.4/kg or universal clean cooking gas at the rate of only $ 0.4/kg or only 7-8 cents.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister also said in a statement on the Social Media Platform X that India is planning to search and excavate oil and gas with a completely new enthusiasm in an area of 2.5 lakh square kilometers in the 10th round under the Open Acresy License Policy (OALP).
He emphasized that India aims to increase the country’s exploration sector by 0.5 million square kilometers by 2025 and by 2030 to 1.0 million square kilometers.
