नवम्बर नहीं दिसंबर में होगी बैंक कर्मचारियों की असली दिवाली! वर्किंग शेडयूल में होने वाले है बड़े बदलाव, यहां डिटेल में जाने सबकुछ

Business News Desk – Bank employees may get great news in December. Or it would not be wrong to say that his real Diwali will be in December only. Let us tell you that bank employees have been demanding work for 5 days a week from the government for a long time. Till now the government has not given any answer on this. But it is being said that the government may approve their demands by the end of this year.

Awaiting government approval
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has already been signed between IBA and bank unions regarding this decision. Both public and private banks were included in this agreement signed in December 2023. After this, a joint note was also signed between IBA and All India Bank Officers Confederation on 8 March 2024. In which the outline of 5 days work and weekend leave was decided. However, this change depends on the approval of the government. This proposal will also go to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for discussion, because RBI controls the banking hours and internal functioning of the banks. The government has not yet decided the time for approval on this proposal. But it is expected that a decision can be taken on this by the end of the year.

Will there be change in shifts along with holidays?
If the government accepts the demand for 5 days work, then the working hours can also be changed. According to reports, working hours can be increased by about 40 minutes during 5 working days. During this period, banks will remain open from 9:45 am to 5:30 pm. Till now, apart from government holidays, banks remain closed on second and fourth Saturdays.

Have been demanding since 2015
Bank unions have been demanding longer working days in banks since 2015. Their demand is that every Saturday and Sunday should be given a holiday. In view of this demand, in 2015 it was decided to give holiday on second and fourth Saturday.
