New Delhi, 8 April (IANS). Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that there is no shortage of crude oil at this time.
Emphasizing his point, the Union Minister said, “Earlier India used to buy crude oil from 27 countries, which has now increased to 39 countries. A few months ago we got a consignment from Argentina, which has now purchased crude oil from a total of 40 countries. There is no shortage of crude oil at the global level at this time.”
Union Minister Puri further said that more oil is coming from Western Hemisphier.
He said, “Recently I gave the example of Brazil. Also, the US where the first 13 million barrels of crude oil were being produced in a day, now 1.6 million barrels will be produced by excess oil. We only need to be patient now. There is no shortage of oil.”
He further said, “As stated earlier, the price of crude oil has come down. Recently when I met journalists, this rate came around 61.80. If this price is 61 to 65, the oil marketing company will have some scope to make adjustments.”
Apart from this, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that US President Donald Trump imposed a 27 percent recipe on India on India, “The first needs to understand what is the tariff.
