Share Market There was a great boom on Friday, the last trading day of last week. Sensex jumped 1,292.92 points and closed at 81,332.72 points. Similarly, Nifty closed at 24,834.85 points, up 428.75 points. Investors earned tremendous profits due to the tremendous boom in the stock market. With the return of boom in the market, the market capitalization of six of the top 10 most valuable companies of Sensex collectively increased by Rs 1,85,186.51 crore last week. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Infosys were the biggest gainers. Apart from this, ITC, TCS, Airtel and HDFC Bank also made bumper earnings for the investors.

LIC earned the most

During the week under review, the market valuation of LIC rose by Rs 44,907.49 crore to Rs 7,46,602.73 crore. The market cap of Infosys rose by Rs 35,665.92 crore to Rs 7,80,062.35 crore. The market capitalisation of ITC rose by Rs 35,363.32 crore to Rs 6,28,042.62 crore. The valuation of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) jumped by Rs 30,826.1 crore to Rs 15,87,598.71 crore. The market valuation of Bharti Airtel rose by Rs 30,282.99 crore to Rs 8,62,211.38 crore. The valuation of HDFC Bank rose by Rs 8,140.69 crore to Rs 12,30,842.03 crore.

Reliance Industries gave a shock

In contrast, the market capitalisation of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 62,008.68 crore to Rs 20,41,821.06 crore. ICICI Bank’s valuation fell by Rs 28,511.07 crore to Rs 8,50,020.53 crore. The market cap of State Bank of India (SBI) fell by Rs 23,427.1 crore to Rs 7,70,149.39 crore. Hindustan Unilever’s valuation fell by Rs 3,500.89 crore to Rs 6,37,150.41 crore.

Reliance retains top spot

Reliance Industries remained at the top of the list of top 10 Sensex companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, LIC, Hindustan Unilever and ITC. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 728.07 points or 0.90 percent.
