There will be a big change in the world of jobs in the next five years. A recent study says that farm labor and driver jobs will be among the fastest growing jobs in the coming five years, while cashier and ticket clerk jobs are likely to decline the most. According to PTI news, the World Economic Forum has given this information in the Future of Jobs Report 2025. It says that 17 crore new jobs will be created by 2030, while 9.2 crore people are expected to be displaced, resulting in 7.8 crore new jobs.

fastest growing jobs

Farm workers, laborers and other agricultural workers top the list of the five fastest-growing jobs, followed by light truck or delivery service drivers, software and application developers, building farmers, finishers and related trade workers, and store salespeople.

fastest declining jobs

Cashiers and ticket clerks top the list of the five fastest declining jobs. then Administrative Assistant and Executive Secretary; Building Caretakers, Cleaners and Housekeepers; material-recording and stock-keeping clerk; and printing and related trade workers. These are followed by accounting, bookkeeping and payroll clerks; Accountants and Auditors; Transportation Attendants and Conductors; security guard; Bank tellers and related clerks; Data Entry Clerk; Client information and customer service staff; There will be graphic designers and claims adjusters, examiners and investigators.

Study based on data from more than 1,000 companies

According to the news, the report released a few days before the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 20-25 said that the disruption in jobs by 2030 will be equal to 22 percent of jobs. It said technological advancements, demographic shifts, geo-economic tensions and economic pressures are the key drivers of these changes, which are reshaping industries and businesses around the world. Based on data from more than 1,000 companies, the study found that the skills gap remains the biggest barrier to business transformation today.

The demand for such skills will increase rapidly

The report notes that nearly 40 percent of the skills required for a job are changeable, and 63 percent of employers already cite this as the main hurdle they face. It said the demand for technical skills in artificial intelligence (AI), big data and cyber security is expected to increase rapidly, but human skills such as creative thinking, flexibility and agility will remain important. In a rapidly changing job market, it will be important to combine both technology and human skills.
