American IT company Cognizant on Thursday announced a plan to appoint 20,000 freshers in 2025. According to PTI news, this step is to give a new shape to the company’s talent pyramid, especially to support managed services and AI-Lad software development. Cognizant holds a very large employee base in India.
Double recruitment compared to last year
According to the news, the total number of co -ordinagent employees remained almost stable compared to the previous quarter, which was 3,36,300. Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, said that as we said on our Investor Day, we are appointing 20,000 freshers as part of our strategy, which is twice as compared to the previous year. Kumar said that this year the company is planning to appoint many more fresh graduates to create strong workforce pyramids, especially when managed services projects have increased in the last two years.
Company focus on three areas
The CEO of Cognizant stated that the company is focusing on three areas – hiring freshers, increasing productivity through AI and improving use to effectively manage human capital costs. Cognizant shared that 14,000 former employees have re -joined the firm, and 10,000 more pipelines. Kumar said that with increasing talent, we are strengthening our talent pipeline with skills required for the AI era.
7.45 percent increase in revenue
Cognizant, which has a large part of employees in India, has registered an increase of US $ 5.1 billion with an annual increase of 7.45 percent in revenue for the March 2025 March quarter. It acquired a revenue of US $ 4.7 billion in the first quarter of 2024. Cognizant follows the January-December financial year. The company has increased its full year’s development guidance from 2.6-5.1 percent to 3.9-6.4 percent. Now it is expected to expect a revenue of 2025 between US $ 20.5-21 billion.
