Mumbai, 28 January (IANS). TVS Motor Company released the results of the third quarter of FY 25 on Tuesday. In the October-December period, the company’s profit fell by 6.66 percent to Rs 618.48 crore on a quarterly basis. In the second quarter of the current financial year, the company made a profit of Rs 662.62 crore.

In the third quarter of FY 25, the company’s income fell 1.48 percent to Rs 11,134.63 crore, which was Rs 11,301.68 crore in the last quarter.

However, the company’s net profit has increased by 4.2 percent on an annual basis. This is due to more sales and operational efficiency.

The income from TVS Motor operations increased by 10 percent on an annual basis, which was Rs 9,097 crore in the third quarter of FY 24.

The operating EBITDA of TVS Motor increased by 17 percent to Rs 1,081 crore on an annual basis in the third quarter of FY 25, which was Rs 924 crore in the same period last year. During this period, the company’s EBITDA margin has increased from 11.2 percent to 11.9 percent.

The company’s total two -wheeler sales during the quarter increased by 10 percent on an annual basis and have been 12.12 lakh units, including 22 percent in scooter sales and 6 percent in motorcycle sales.

However, the sale of three -wheelers saw a decline on an annual basis, which has come down from 0.38 lakh units to 0.29 lakh units.

According to the company’s filing, the sale of electric scooters increased by 57 percent and has increased to 0.76 lakh units.

For nine months ending December 2024, TVS motor sales (including exports) have increased by 14 percent to 34.29 lakh units on an annual basis.

In contrast, the sale of three -wheelers has come down from 1.16 lakh units of the previous year to 0.98 lakh units.

The export of two -wheelers rose by 19 percent to 7.78 lakh units during a period of nine months. During this period, the sales of electric vehicles increased by 40 percent to 2.03 lakh units.

On Thursday, the stock of TVS Motors rose by 5.32 percent to close at Rs 2,350.
