'US tour is successful', PM Modi left for Delhi from Washington

Washington, 14 February (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for New Delhi after completing his two -day visit to America. During the visit, he held high -level bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump, in which discussed several important issues including trade, defense, security, energy and technology.

The Prime Minister’s Office has confirmed through X post that PM has left for Delhi from Washington. It is written with a picture on the PMO handle- PM Modi left for a successful visit to the US and left for India.

Prime Minister Modi arrived in the United States from France on Wednesday and on Thursday, President Trump hosted him on Friday. This meeting was special as it was the first bilateral dialogue of Trump’s second term. The two leaders took important decisions towards further strengthening the Indo-US relations.

During this visit, Prime Minister Modi also met US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard. These meetings discussed measures to further strengthen strategic partnership. India and the United States decided to broaden their cooperation in the areas of defense, energy and state -of -the -art technology. In addition, the two countries exchanged views on global and regional issues.

Prime Minister Modi shared his experiences on the social media platform ‘X’ after the meeting. He said that his meeting with President Trump was excellent and this will give new pace to India-US friendship. The two leaders agreed on important topics such as reducing trade deficit, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor and energy supply.

Explain that during the conversation of the two leaders, US President Donald Trump offered a mediation to end the controversy, calling the ongoing clashes on the border between India and China as “quite violent”. He hoped that the two countries together could solve the issue. Trump also said that big countries like America and Russia should also work together to maintain peace in the world.

In his first term, Trump offered arbitration between India and Pakistan, but India immediately turned down it. It remains to be seen how seriously the Trump will take his arbitration offer in the India-China dispute. He also said that new plans have been made to further strengthen the economic relations between India and the US, which will make the friendship and partnership of the two countries deeper.

Trump announced that the US would sell billions of dollars defense equipment to India and will also work towards giving F-35 stealth fighter jets to India in future. He reported that in 2017 his administration reactivated the quad security partnership, including India, America, Australia and Japan. He said that this cooperation is very important to maintain peace in the Indo-Pacific sector. In addition, Trump stressed the joint efforts of India and the United States against terrorism, saying that the two countries would work strongly than before to deal with radical Islamic terrorism.
