Lucknow, 5 November (IANS). MSME sector is playing a strong partnership in the efforts to make the economy of Uttar Pradesh one trillion dollars. As per the vision of CM Yogi, to make the state a textile hub, 11 new private textile parks will be built in districts like Gorakhpur, Mau, Bhadohi, Aligarh, Baghpat and Shamli etc. With this, UP will not have to import raw materials etc. from other countries or states including China.
For the first time in the state, various works are being done by the MSME Department to strengthen the textile sector at national and international level. Under this, the state’s first private textile park will be established in Shamli district at a cost of Rs 726 crore. With this, there will be no need to import raw material from other countries or states, various facilities ranging from skill development will be available at one place.
Principal Secretary, Handloom and Textile Industries, Alok Kumar said that with the establishment of 11 private textile parks in the state, everything from raw material to various textiles etc. will be manufactured. With this, there will be no need to import raw material from any other state or countries like China. Apart from this, PM Mitra Park is also being established by the government in Lucknow on one thousand acres of land.
Under Uttar Pradesh Textile and Garment Policy-2022, in principle (LOC) approval was given to Inex Textile Park Private Limited for the development of private textile park in the meeting of the Government Approval Committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Handloom and Textile Industry Alok Kumar. Necessary infrastructure facilities will be developed by the investor of the park at a cost of about Rs 126.61 crore.
The park will be operational by December next year, with an investment of Rs 600 crore and direct and indirect employment to 5,000 people. The proposed park will be built on 26.75 acres of land in Jhinjhana village of Kairana tehsil of Shamli, in which a total of 17 units including weaving, dyeing, printing and garment units will be set up.
The park has general facilities like administrative building, bank/ATM, training and testing centre, rest house, canteen, first aid center along with asphalt road network (with street lighting), water supply system, sewerage system, rain water drainage system. There will also be common infrastructure facilities like sewage treatment plant, zero liquid discharge, combined effluent treatment plant (CETP) boiler, water and steam distribution system, power distribution system and wet bridge.
