New Delhi, December 26 (IANS). Rejecting allegations of working only with BJP governments, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Thursday said that his group is ready to work with the government of any party.
Gautam Adani said at an event here that his group is working in 25 states. He said, “Sometimes people say that the (Adani) group works only in BJP-ruled states. …We are ready to work with any government. You also want development, we also want development.” “Without government support, I cannot set up infrastructure projects just because I have money.”
He said that the Adani Group does not need any special treatment, just “process whatever permissions are required on time and complete them on time”.
Giving an example, he said that in Kerala, where there is a non-Congress government, his group has invested Rs 20,000 crore, whereas in the last 25 years, not even Rs 5,000 crore had been invested there.
He said that there are groups bigger than Adani in the country, but they are not doing even 25 percent work on infrastructure as compared to Adani Group. He said the reason for this is that it is the most difficult job. You just invest money for ten years and you don’t see the money coming. You should have so much patience that you can wait for the money to come.
