Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Saturday that the BJP government’s financial year 2025-26 budget in the Union Territory will focus on women’s economic empowerment, better education and healthcare, better infrastructure, pollution control and drainage. The budget session of Delhi Assembly will run from 24 to 28 March. The budget will be presented on 25 March. Gupta said that the Delhi government has taken suggestions from various sections of the society including professionals to prepare the budget. He said that 3,303 suggestions were received from the stakeholders via email and 6,982 through WhatsApp.
Budget session will start from Monday
The Chief Minister said in a press conference that the budget session of Delhi Assembly will start with the Kheer celebrations on Monday. He said that the budget will pay attention to meeting the basic needs of the public and there will be provisions for employment generation. He said that the BJP government of Delhi will ensure that the budget fulfills the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘developed Delhi’.
