MSRTC is in the process of including 2,640 new buses in its fleet.
Loss of loss -making Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation i.e. MSRTC employees will get salary on the 7th of every month. Maharashtra’s Transport Minister Pratap Saranaik gave this information on Friday. According to PTI news, the Transport Minister described the delay in getting salary unfortunate. The minister said that he met the State Finance Secretary to resolve the pending salary issue of the employees of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. At the same time, demanded the release of Rs 1,076 crore from the pending arrears for the state -run body.
Order to release Rs 120 crore
According to the news, after the meeting, the Maharashtra government has ordered the release of Rs 120 crore out of the pending dues. After assuming the chairman of MSRTC at the headquarters of the transport body in Mumbai, Sarnaik assured that the employees of the corporation would get salary on the seventh date of every month. The Minister of Ministers said that MSRTC is in the process of inclusion of 2,640 new buses in his fleet. More than 800 of these buses are already running.
Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation is one of the largest transport institutions in the country with a fleet of about 15,000 buses. This loss -making transportation institution travels to about 60 lakh passengers daily. It connects from big cities to villages and other areas.
