On Monday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this bullet train will undergo an operation in 2028, regarding the 15 billion dollar Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project being built in collaboration with Japan. According to PTI news, Fadnavis said that there are planning to raise $ 50 billion from international funding for infrastructure development in the state and announcements will be made in four months. Fadnavis said that by 2022, the bullet train project suffered losses during two years of rule, but now the work is in full swing.
Creation of infrastructure is very important
According to the news, Fadnavis said that by 2028 we will be able to travel in bullet train. He admitted that the neighboring state of Gujarat is ahead of Maharashtra in terms of project development. Fadnavis said that the construction of infrastructure is very important to achieve the target of 1 trillion US dollar GSDP, and between 2014-19, 30 billion US dollars were invested in the construction of infrastructure during his first term as the Chief Minister, and now more money is being invested in important projects. Speaking at an event on the Indo-Madhya Pradesh East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) project, he said that the Wadhavan port will be operational in the next 3-4 years.
Fadnavis said that there would be a nearby airport near the Wadhavan port, which would be built through land improvement on the sea, said that many major cities of the world have such airports. Fadnavis said that there will also be a stop for the bullet train. The Chief Minister said that Maharashtra is constructing a highway from Nashik to Wadhavan port, which will connect 17 districts of the state to modern ports.

Vivek Kumar Gupta, Managing Director (MD) of National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), led a team of directors, contractors, advisors and senior officials and conducted a two-day extensive inspection of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. He assessed the progress of ongoing works, strictly adherence to security protocols and quality standards. The team reviewed the development of bullet train stations in Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati as well as track laying works.
