New Delhi. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the largest companies in India in the IT sector, has appointed Aarti Subramanian as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Aarti Subramanian has been appointed for five years. His term will start from 1 May 2025 and run till 30 April 2030. The appointment of Aarti Subramanian as COO in TCS is also special because she is the first woman to reach this post in the Indian IT sector. Earlier, no woman was made COO in the Indian IT sector.
Aarti Subramanian earned a Masters degree in Engineering Management from the University of Canasus, USA, after doing B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT Warangal. He started his career as a trainee in the TCS company in 1989. Since then, she is associated with TCS. Aarti is called ‘Miss Fixite’. During this, he successfully fulfilled many important responsibilities while holding various positions. After starting a career with trainee, she became the first project manager and senior executive on the strength of her hard work and talent. He has also worked in various TCS projects not only in India but also in America, Canada and Sweden.
He also has technology projects experience of his operations and consulting. Apart from this, she has also been associated with TCS retail business. He worked as a delivery head in retail and consumer products business for 7 years. Aarti Subramanian has also been a non -executive member in the TCS board earlier. At present, he is working as a Group Chief Digital Officer in Tata Sons. From May 1, she will take over as the President and COO of TCS. She will also be the Executive Director of the Company Board.
