New Delhi. After the death of Ratan Tata, Noel Tata has now been elected the new chairman of Tata Trust. In the meeting of the board members of Tata Trust, the name of Noel Tata was approved as the new chairman of the group. 67-year-old Noel is the half-brother of late Ratan Tata. Noel Tata has been associated with the Tata Group for almost 40 years. He is also a member of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust under Tata Trust. Apart from this, he is also the chairman of Tata International, Voltas and Tata Investment Corporation. Noel is also currently playing the role of Vice Chairman in Tata Steel and Titan Company Limited. Now he will be handed over the responsibility of the entire Tata Trust.
Noel’s father’s name is Naval H. Tata and his mother’s name is Simone Tata. Noel’s wife Aalu Mistry is the daughter of Shapoorji-Pallonji Group Chairman Pallonji Mistry. Noel and Aloo have children, a son and two daughters and they are also associated with the Tata Group, although all three of their children stay away from the limelight. Noel’s three children are performing different responsibilities in Tata Group. Noel Tata’s eldest daughter Leah Tata is handling the business of the hotel industry. Leah has recently been given the responsibility of the Gateway brand of Indian Hotels.
Noel’s second daughter Maya Tata started her career under the guidance of Ratan Tata. She was initially associated with Tata Opportunities Fund. Presently she is associated with Tata Digital. Talking about Noel’s son Neville Tata, he has been associated with Trent since 2016 and is the head of Star Bazaar. Let us tell you that Noel was first elected chairman of Tata Sons, but later Cyrus Mistry was made the chairman. After Mistry left Tata Group, N. Chandrasekaran took charge of Tata Sons.
