New Delhi. Indian airline company Air India has given a New Year gift to its passengers. Now passengers will get Wi-Fi facility even in flights. With this, Tata Group-owned Air India has become the first airline which will provide the facility of internet access to passengers even in domestic flights. You can use Wi-Fi service on laptop, tablet, iOS or Android mobile. This service will be free and no separate charge will be taken from the passengers for this. Air India has given information in this regard by issuing a press release. It has been told that passengers aboard Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A321 Neo aircraft will be able to use the internet while flying above 10,000 feet.
Passengers will be able to use social media while browsing, send messages to their friends and family and do their important work through the internet. Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer, Air India, said that in today’s digital age, internet connectivity has become an essential part of modern travel along with the needs of people. Keeping this in view, the company has started this facility for the passengers so that people can remain connected to their loved ones even while flying thousands of feet in the air. Along with this, in the coming time, Air India will start Wi-Fi service in all passenger aircraft.
Facility already being provided on international routes
Air India is already providing the facility to use Wi-Fi in flights to its international passengers. Passengers traveling on Air India’s New York, London, Paris and Singapore routes get the facility to use internet in the plane. Air India has expressed hope that the passengers will like the Wi-Fi facility during the journey.
