IT company Wipro’s consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2022 increased by four per cent to Rs 3,092.5 crore. It had a profit of Rs 2,974.1 crore in the same quarter of 2020-21 a year ago.
Wipro Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Thierry Delaporte said in a statement, “We have had a wonderful year this year with revenues of $10.4 billion. Whereas, the industry growth stood at 27 per cent on a year-on-year basis. This is the sixth consecutive quarter that there has been strong revenue growth of over three per cent.” Wipro’s consolidated operating revenue grew 28 per cent to Rs 20,860 crore in the quarter under review. Last year it was Rs 16,245.4 crore.
Wipro’s consolidated net profit for the full financial year stood at Rs 12,232.9 crore, up 12.57 per cent from Rs 10,866.2 crore in the previous year 2020-21. The company’s operating income grew 28 per cent to Rs 79,747.5 crore in 2021-22 from Rs 62,234.4 crore in 2020-21.
According to Wipro’s Chief Financial Officer Jatin Dalal, net income this year stood at $1.6 billion, the highest ever.
