Yamaha Motor’s shared mobility platform Moto Business Service India (MBSI) has forayed into the four-wheeled electric vehicle segment in partnership with vehicle services firm Malbork Technologies. The company announced that it is very excited to start operations in the electric vehicle segment with Malbork. MBSI provides services to technology startups operating in the shared mobility sector in the country.
Bengaluru-based Malbork Technologies offers an app-based taxi aggregator service in Bengaluru. Shoji Shirayashi, Managing Director, MBSI said, “Electric vehicle sales in India are growing rapidly. Consumers are now turning away from conventional vehicles due to rising fuel prices.
There are many signs of an uptrend in this important promising market.” This is the second association of MBSI in the last few months. Last month, it also announced a partnership with bike rental company Royal Brothers. Sanjeev Kumar, Founder & CEO, Malbork Technologies said, “We are increasing the number of electric vehicles on the roads and we intend to expand our presence in many other cities of the country as well.
Let us tell you that Yamaha so far produces only petrol and electric vehicles in the two-wheeler segment. Yamaha Motors currently has only scooters in electric vehicles. The company is also going to increase the flagship of its electric scooter in the coming days.
Along with this, if the company enters the segment of electric four-wheeler, then companies like Tata, Mahindra and Hyundai can get a tough competition from Yamaha. Let us tell you that Tata, Mahindra and Hyundai have priced their electric car according to the Indian customer. In such a situation, Yamaha has been doing business in India for a long time and the company is well aware of both the likes and dislikes of Indians.
