29% of land will be residential use
New Agra Project: Yeida has intensified work on the ‘New Agra’ project after the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh was approved by the Master Plan-2031. Yamuna Expressway is going to settle a new city named ‘New Agra Urban Center’ in the Industrial Development Authority (Yeida), Mathura and Agra. This proposed city, which is developed on around 12,000 hectares, will have a special focus on residential, industrial, commercial and tourist development.
DPR is preparing private consulting firm
According to Yeida, a private consulting firm is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) of the New Agra Project and is expected to be completed soon. Officials said that after the master plan is prepared, the next step is to prepare the zonal plan and start land acquisition. Yida CEO Arunveer Singh said that if farmers sell their land at their own will, the authority will buy land directly through the registry, as land acquisition is a long process under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013.
29% of land will be residential use
29% of the proposed 12,000 hectares of land under the master plan has been allotted for residential use. In addition, 22% of the land is allotted to the green area. 17% of the land has been allotted for the Green category industry. 7% of the land for public, educational and health care is allotted. For commercial activity, 5 percent and 4% mixed land is kept separate. While 16% area is reserved for transport infra and the remaining land will be used in other works.
Namo will get direct connectivity with India
There is also a strong planning to provide direct connectivity with the capital Delhi, Ghaziabad and Greater Noida to New Agra. According to Yida’s plan, the Namo Bharat Rapid train is also planned to run Namo Bharat between Noida International Airport and New Agra. For this, it is proposed to lay 131 km long line along the Yamuna Expressway. This project of Yida is expected to provide employment to 8.5 lakh people.
