The last date for application for National Income and Merit Based Scholarship Scheme Examination 2025-26 has been extended once again. Earlier, the last date was extended from September 5 to September 20. Despite this, due to the number of applicants being 146012, the last date for application on the website www.entdata.co.in has been extended to September 28. Last year, a record 1,85,762 students had applied for the 2024-25 session.
This time also, the last date of application has been extended again with the aim of providing scholarship benefits to maximum number of students. Director of Psychology Department Usha Chandra said that the portal will remain open on 29th and 30th September for correction of errors in online application. The examination for class eight students studying in government, aided and council schools will be conducted in all the districts of the state on 10th November.
In the scholarship examination, students who have passed the class 7 examination in the academic session 2023-24 with a minimum of 55 percent marks (5 percent relaxation for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories) and are studying in class eight in government, non-government aided and local body (council) schools in the session 2024-25 can participate.
Students studying in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, Government Residential and Private Schools are not eligible to appear in this examination. The income of the parents of such students should not exceed 3.5 lakhs from all sources. In the 2023-24 session, 179971 students had applied.
