Central government 5 scholarship: If you are a college student and you want to avail the benefit of any government scholarship but you do not know which scholarship does the central government provide? Therefore, let us tell you which major scholarships the Central Government provides to college students.

1. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship- Meritorious students studying in colleges and universities, who have secured 80 percent marks in the relevant stream and whose annual family income is less than Rs 4.5 lakh, can apply for this scholarship. Students will get Rs 12,000 as scholarship every year from first year to third year. Apart from this, Rs 20,000 will be given as scholarship every year in the fourth and fifth years.

2. EdCIL Vidyanjali Scholarship – This scholarship is for meritorious students of Navodaya Vidyalayas who have completed their higher secondary education and have obtained admission in a college or higher education institution. This is to help them get scholarship from CSR fund by Vidyanjali Foundation.

3. UGC’s Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme for NER – This scholarship is for students from North Eastern region pursuing recognized UG degree programs as specified and notified by UGC from time to time. First year UG degree students can apply for this.

4. AICTE YASHASVI (याशास्वी) – Candidates who take admission in the first year of degree/diploma level courses in any AICTE-approved institution in the respective year can apply for this scholarship scheme. Degree level students will get Rs 18000/- per year and Diploma level students will get Rs 12000/- per year as scholarship.

5. AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students – Girl students taking admission in the first or second year of degree level or diploma level courses can apply. Their annual family income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh during the current financial year.
