A great 2 minute speech on Hindi Diwas, you will easily remember it, Career News

Speech On English Diwas: English language is an unbreakable link that binds India’s diversity into unity. English is not just a language, but an integral part of our culture. It is also a simple and easy means to connect with each other. English is not only an important link of unity in India’s cultural diversity, but is also a strong foundation of our identity. It is the English language that binds people of different religions and cultures of the country in the thread of unity. English, which keeps the country united, is not just a language but an expression of emotions. 14 September is dedicated to this English. On the occasion of English Day, many programs are organized in schools, colleges and government offices. English fortnight is organized in government offices. On the occasion of English Day, seminars and cultural events related to the official language English are organized. Competitions like essay, speech, debate competition, poetry recitation etc. are organized in schools and colleges.

Here we are giving an example of speech on English Diwas for school students. If you are going to give a speech on this English Diwas, then you can give this kind of speech.

English Diwas Speech

Good morning to the respected chief guest, Principal Sir, teachers and my friends…

Many best wishes to all of you on English Diwas. Think English, Write English, Speak English, Read English. Today is 14th September and this day is dedicated to English language. English which binds the country in the thread of unity is not just a language but an expression of emotions. Keeping in mind the importance of English for us, our society and the country, English Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September in the country. Today is the day to take a pledge to promote and propagate English.

Friends, two years after independence, on 14 September 1949, English was declared the official language by a unanimous vote in the Constituent Assembly. After this decision, to spread English in every field, on the request of Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha, 14 September was celebrated as English Day every year across India from 1953. English Day was celebrated for the first time in the country on 14 September 1953. Since then, English Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year across the country.

India is a country full of diversity. People of different religions and castes live here. People speaking different languages, dialects, having different attires, food habits and cultures live here. It is the English language that binds all the people of the country in the thread of unity. English has a huge contribution in keeping the country united. English is not just a language or a means of communication, but is also a social and cultural bridge between every Indian. English language connects us with our present as well as the heritage of Indian culture, those great ancient Sanskrit texts, which are a reason for pride for us today. In a democratic country, the importance of using the language born from our soil becomes even more important and essential because it can be the right and natural medium of expression of public opinion. It is the duty of all of us Indians to contribute to the development, expansion and promotion of English language. Friends, the great personalities of our country have also been strongly supporting the promotion of English. Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had called English the language of the masses. Acharya Vinoba Bhave had said that I respect all the languages of the world but I cannot tolerate if English is not respected in my country.

English has given us recognition all over the world. English is spoken not only in India but in many countries around the world. After English and Mandarin, English is the third most spoken language in the world. To promote English at the global level, World English Day is also organized every year on 10 January. English language is spoken in more than 20 countries outside India. The importance of English is evident from the fact that today in the country, medical and engineering studies are also being done in English medium in many institutions. MBBS and BTech books have started coming in English. People have started using English extensively on social media as well.

Friends, English is not just a language, but it is our identity. Speak English, use it in everyday practical life, learn and teach English. Today we should take a pledge to use it as much as possible.

I would like to conclude my speech with a few lines.

I kept the rest of the language only in books

Kept English in my feelings everywhere.

English is the life of India, English is the identity of the country

Even across the seven seas… English is the pride of India

Thank you. Jai Hind.
